The Beauties Collection came about from viewing the Instagram photos posted by my family and friends. I loved that these strong, powerful and beautiful women would post images of themselves that they are proud of, thereby taking control of how they would represent themselves. These paintings are my interpretations of their photographs.

The meaning that these paintings bring to life is that they bring an energy of confidence, assertiveness, and respect toward women in the physical realm of painting. One can behold their energy through what the paintings communicate through their body language, gaze, and facial expression, through their fashion styling and clothing, how they wear their hair and where they pose.
