Mural Commission process

1. Initial Phone Consultation

(free, about 20–30 minutes)
We'll talk about your space, your vision and how you want the mural to feel. I'll ask about size, location, surface, timeline and budget, so I can tell you if we're a good fit and give you an estimated price range. This call is about getting to know your project. The actual designing happens in the next step.

2. Design Fee and Concept

Together, we collaborate to consider your goals, hopes, and direction. To start on your custom design, I charge a design fee of $300. This pays for my research, site review, and a custom concept made for your space, with up to two rounds of revisions. The design fee is non-refundable. If you go ahead with the mural, it's credited toward your final price.

3. Proposal and Contract

When you're happy with the design, I'll send a written agreement. It covers the final design, the price, the timeline, what we're each responsible for (such as wall prep and access) and how the finished work can be used. A clear contract protects both of us and keeps things simple.

4. Booking your Date

Your spot on my calendar is reserved once I have the signed contract and 50% deposit. The deposit covers materials and holds your installation dates. I book murals in order, so I'd suggest reaching out early if you have a deadline.

5. Painting and Communication

While I'm painting, I'll keep you updated on progress and give you a heads-up if weather or site conditions change the schedule. You're always welcome to reach out with questions.

6. Completion and Final Payment

When the mural is complete, we'll do a walk-through together. The remaining balance is due upon completion. I'll also give you care instructions so your mural stays beautiful for years to come.
